Classroom Habitudes: Teaching 21st Century Learning Habits and Attitudes
Tuesday September 29, 2009 5PM SLT/8PM EDT
Join us for an thought-provoking episode of ISTE Eduverse Talks where host Peggy Sheehy (SL: Maggie Marat) dives into the world of Habitudes with educator and author Angela Maiers (SL: Annie Viertz) who’s recent book “Habitudes in the Classroom” explores education based on teaching students the habits and attitudes they need for the 21st Century. Based on the idea that there is some basic unlearning we must do in everyday life, Angela will discuss the behaviors, habits and attitudes that will ensure the success of students both inside and outside of their classroom walls, and how educators need to put down their traditional teaching methods and help students invent, create, collaborate, and solve their own problems.
