Come learn about integrating Podcasting into your classroom in this exciting, media-rich episode of ISTE Eduverse Talks. Guest Christopher Shamburg (SL: Webster Mumblewood) will share audio clips and lessons from his ISTE Book, Student Powered Podcasting to show you just how easy it is to bring media into the classroom to engage students. Shamburg will also be sharing his experience with copyright law and how he integrates this into his lessons with students. Host Peggy Sheehy (SL: Maggie Marat) will also be raffling off copies of Chris’ book to the live studio audience so this is an episode you won’t want to miss!

Christopher Shamburg
SL: Webster Mumblewood
Christopher Shamburg is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Educational Technology at New Jersey City University. He is the author of two ISTE books including NETS for Students: Units in the English Language Arts and Student-Powered Podcasting: Teaching for 21st Century Literacy. He is a workshop developer for the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington DC and an online high school English teacher for NJeSchool, where he has developed courses in podcasting and fanfiction. He previously taught high school English for ten years at the Hudson County School of Technology where he won several awards for his teaching.
His professional interests are in the educational applications of remix and DIY technologies, teacher education, and innovations in language arts and English education.
